Celebration of Rozella’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday January 27, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL. Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Rozella M. Betts 85, of Mt. Vernon, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
She was born in Lawrenceville, IL on July 30, 1932 to Wilbern Glen Lukens and Ethel Viola (Campbell) Lukens. On June 2, 1953 she married Lowell Kendell Betts who survives.
Rozella had been a CNA and a pastor’s wife, but for many years she enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Bible Missionary Church in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was involved in the Senior Circle at Cross Roads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Rozella enjoyed attending her church, where she was very active. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, playing the organ and piano as well as singing. She also loved to cook for her family and friends, especially her fried chicken. Rozella enjoyed gardening and canned most of what she grew. She also enjoyed growing African Violets and Zinnias.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lowell Betts, Mt. Vernon, IL; three sons and daughters-in-law Edward “Glen” and Gracie Betts, Greely, CO, Lowell “David” Betts, Berea, OH, Marlin and Debbie Betts, Brazil, IN; daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and David Sheridan, Oblong, IL; eight grandchildren Benjamin and Rebecca Betts, Brenda and Bill Norris, Hannah and Greg Collins, Nathaniel and Laura Waller, Esther and Jacob Jones, Jennifer and Chad Rosema, Jocelyn and Chris Adams and Jessica Conley; thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law Irene Lukens, St. Louis, MO, Evangelene Lukens, Winnsboro, LA, Joanne and Tim Perry, Wetmore, MI; two brothers-in-law Jerry Rogers, Indianapolis, IN, Raymond and Peggy Betts, Fremont, MI; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers Paul Lukens, James Lukens, Richard Lukens and Kenneth Lukens, infant Wilbern; two sisters Ruby Lukens and Willa Rogers, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Emma Betts, and a brother-in-law Douglas Betts.
